Things come Around...

Harsh times living in a harsh world... One Love to a man I never knew and will never meet... Oscar Grant... No one can understand what is right when you wake up to a New Year and in one hand is a man who stole millions of dollars and lived lavishly from it while in the other is a man with his hands cuffed behind his back lying in a puddle of his own blood. What was his crime...?

If you follow the news check out Bernard L. Madoff security investments and then look up Oscar Grant. Now I know its not fair to compare the 2 because they are completely different walks of life but still where is the justice... How can one man steal millions of dollars and be at home with his family? Even if Oscar Grant had stolen maybe $20 and lets say he even stole it from me... I would like my money back but I would never ever wish him to never see his family again. So where is hope?

Shines of things come around... being aware of the economic crisis we are in and today's perspectives and outlook on society you can see some patterns of history that would repeat.... I hope in this case we learn from the past and recognize how we can make things different now...

The last time America struggled financially was in 1992, you know what capped it off... the L.A. Riots. You know what sparked the riots? A video taken of four officers beating a man. Four officers who are acquitted of any wrong doing. Back then you have to ask how can you defend four men beating on one man as self defense? Put a badge on the four men and its ok?
Now the scariest video I have ever seen was the shooting of Oscar Grant. Even with all the experts in all the world you can not, CAN NOT... defend someone shooting another man in the back that is helplessly handcuffed and lying on the ground. Accident? How can you accidentally shoot someone? If he is an officer of the law is he not trained for situations that apply to the use of deadly force? I can understand any Joe nobody accidentally shooting someone with a gun if they've never used one or been trained with one but a professional officer of the law that carries a weapon with him everyday of his working life... he can not, CAN NOT "accidentally" shoot anyone.

That was murder from the start but they will spin the crowd added tension... the suspects were resisting to cooperate... the officer was confused... he didn't know what he was doing... He shot Oscar Grant out of self defense... I don't wish the shooter to be put on death row as I am and have always been against that... all I expect is justice... Life in prison for Madoff with complete liquidation of all assets to non profit organizations and low income families as a community "bailout" and 20-30 years for the shooter complete with psychological counseling. Weekly meetings with the victim's family and friends. And I want him to appear all over the country to speak with other officers about his experience to keep fresh in their minds that all officers will be responsible for their actions good and bad.

Will any of this happen...? If things come around as they have before... we may be in for one of the hardest hitting eras of our time... we can mass up and join together in peace and hope like Obama said or we can justify our justice as we used to say its the police and just us.

Let me tell you something about experience...

The biggest argument that I hear about not wanting Barack as president is that he is inexperienced.  He is a junior senator and hasn't done much in D.C. but let me tell you a little something about inexperience...
Neither candidate has ever served as president so neither of them have any experience so this is a lame argument.  Sure McCain represents 20 years in the game, he even ran for president before but remember who he lost to? McCain represents all the old world "experience" and all the original ways politics and the United States was run before but look where all that has got us now.  The old way was good when it was in its prime but the old way politics have got to go. Obama does represent change and the toughest thing to do in this world is to accept change.  So maybe its time to try something new and its going to take a leap of faith by the older generation to join the younger and accept that things are changing and new ideas, new methods, and new politics are a must in the White House right now. So those who stand behind Barack must remember one thing... He is STILL one man and its going to take us all to stand behind him and support him. If he does become president then we cant turn our backs and be disappointed when something doesnt work the way it supposed to.  The United States needs to stand in Solidarity and accept the change that will bring us into the future and not only lead the nation out of its economic slump but the world.

Back to the World...

Here we go...
What crazy happenings would bring me back to a xanga blog? Shiet. The fact that its time for me to return to the bohemian lifestyle that I once cherished as a lowly and studious college student as once again I am joining the ranks of the learned (pronounced auspiciously as lern-ed).

Yes. Things are happening and its time to put it all in perspective again.  One thing that has truly caught my eye is this whole presidential race. Remember back in 2000 when I was a rebel youth and I got to vote for a president for the first time in my life and I fuckin chose to go green party? Holy shit, man fuck Nader and fuck being free spirited... George was right in a sense it was time to choose sides unfortunately those sides I had to choose from was perceptive reality and actuality. Which brings me to our current election.  McCain Palin or Obama Biden who's got a ticket to ride?  For the first time since I've become all politicized I feel like we have two substantial powerhouses that could really effect our future and more importantly America's Future.  And with that I am truly torn.  I can't decide.  In 2004 I chose not to vote because I had no confidence in either candidate and I protested by not voting, this year its almost possible that I may not vote again because I can't decide who is better.  For those that know me I hear you laughing and I know you're thinking, what the hell happened to you Big? Why so indecisive and unsure? Let me tell you why... Obama represents exactly what it he said in his first speech. HOPE.  Hope in I hope yo' ass know what you doing. Or I hope you don't fuck up. In all his experience and what Obama represents is simply the Hope vote.  I hope he does a better job than George and in all honesty... it might not be too hard, George didn't fuck up the country that much, just clean up his mess and run the country instead of vacationing every time something important in the country happens and you will be a better president than George.  McCain represents exactly what he said in his original motto Straight Talk.  As in taxes going up? gas prices high? military still at war? That shit is straight up fucked up... no shit sherlock.  McCain has no fear in telling you exactly what you don't want to hear. Its rough times right now... and the unfortunate side of smoothing things out is that we got to go through some more rougher times.  Fuck.... If thats the truth do you want a FNG watching your back or do you want the "Original Maverick".

In the end, we are finally living in some historic times and our generation's hour for greatness is beginning to chime.  My last note is this,,, I don't want a black president, I don't want a female president, I don't want a Christian president... I want a great president... I want a people's president.  I want a president that will lead us and have no fear to be with us when it gets tough and celebrate with us when the new day arrives. I want... someone to be president.... other than George.

Cuz somebody said I need to update my shit...

so then I'm gonna kick this one for the public...

Nigga! Fuckin' Nigga!

or Nigger? or the "N" word...

Smack it up, flip it, rub it down... a word is a word and if a single word can destroy your career then that is some fucking powerful word. Dog the bounty hunter who first of all I think is horrible from the start... he's a bounty hunter in hawaii... how fuckin hard is it to find a criminal on an island?! Secondly and this goes with all crackers out there... don't fucking say nigger in private conversations and then be two faced about it in the public eye... who you are amongst your friends is the real you and if you use the word nigger in a deragatory manner then you really are a racist so dont try to qualify yourself and say that you use the word all the time with your "one" black friend and it doesnt matter to them... fuck that... the use of the word isn't what bothers me or anyone else,,, its the two faced lying that surrounds it... you are racist, face the facts... if you want to qualify yourself then why isn't your "one" black friend backing you up? Shut the fuck up cracker, every time you open your mouth you continue to lie about your not so racist attitude towards the people you think are below you and most especially as a bounty hunter helping the law I'm pretty sure you look down on the people you try to catch... so you have to go after them to pump up your ego and help you believe that every collar you get makes you a better man to and for society, fuck that.

enough ranting about that cracker ass cracker... yeah i said cracker and I continue to call crackers crackers. I see a duck I'll call a duck a duck and not spoil my character by saying I don't eat duck, cuz I do and I fucking will smear foie gras on a cracker and eat it too... Im not gonna qualify myself with saying I have a white friend. I am a racist the difference factor is this... whether or not you act upon it... A man can call me a nigger all day... it wont bother me, he isnt taking food out of my mouth, he isn't stealing any money, he isnt posing a threat or a danger to my future or well being... when a man throws a rope around my neck and calls me a nigger, or if a man stops me from sitting down and tells me niggers go to the back of the bus, or if a man tells me I cannot shop in this store cuz niggers arent allowed... then I might have a problem with that...

So the bottom line is... people will say what they say... first amendment rights allow them that... but if we take that right away as well then what are we?

before a word can destroy a man... think of the context of how that word is used and determine through real thought whether this word truly oppresses you.

speak on it
